With an inseparable view to contemporary literature, urban public spaces are developed in buildings with flexible uses. Accordingly, sociable spaces such as cafes, as semi-public spaces, can provide social qualities in themselves. Now, the idea of Oldenburg's third places, which need a neutral platform for gathering and social interaction to be realized, can be developed in this place by taking some measures. The present study aims to identify the elements influencing the physical and social content of the third place and make their realization in the cafe space feasible by providing strategies. Therefore, using a qualitative paradigm and causal reasoning, it is attempted to provide a conceptual model to relate the common features of these two themes. Finally, it is concluded that improving the flexibility of furniture and its arrangement, providing rules and standards according to the norms of society, providing basic facilities to invite audiences with special conditions, providing easy access in terms of time and place, making space memorable to invite future customers, avoiding luxuriousness, providing the atmosphere considering the surrounding social context, and creating an intimate environment as home, can contribute to the emergence of third place.
