The modernization of the first Pahlavi dynasty led to changes throughout Iran. With the coming to power of Reza Shah and his efforts to concentrate and spread the power of the central government throughout the country, Lorestan came into focus. He decided to confront it without considering the social, economic, cultural and military foundations governing the society of Lorestan and especially the nomads. The political and social system governing Lorestan before the arrival of the forces of the first Pahlavi dynasty in the region was a feudal system based on tribal and tribal classification. Since new forms of structure and residential spaces emerge in line with social changes, the following qualitative research, using a descriptive-analytical method, examines the reflection of the establishment of the first Pahlavi dynasty and the authoritarian modernization resulting from Reza Shah's policies on the architecture of houses in the city of Khorramabad by examining 12 houses of the first Pahlavi dynasty. The results show that the authoritarian modernization resulting from Reza Shah's policies, despite some development, health, and educational measures, led to the deprivation of the right to choose, the impairment of family and social security, and as a result, many women of the Lor tribe, who previously had relative freedoms, were confined to their homes and distanced from the social space. Despite the fact that the gift of modernity encouraged and imposed society towards extroversion and its supposed freedoms, the process of developments and transformation of Khorramabad houses led from the semi-extroverted of the Qajar period to introverted in the first Pahlavi period. The houses built during this period or the changes made to Qajar houses were driven towards introversion, which can be considered a kind of reaction of the residents of the houses to tyranny and the new developments created in society and the city.
